DESCRIPTION:Turkey 2 Miler\nThursday\, November 27\, 2025\nStart your Thanksgiving Day off right. \nRoute Map\nTURKEY TWO – 2 Mile Run/Walk/Ruck \n9 AM – Thanksgiving Day\, Nov 27\, 2025 \nSmith River Sports Complex \nThe TURKEY TWO is run on a course which circles the Monogram Foods Smith River sports complex and runs on the scenic Dick & Willie Trail along the Smith River. Check out the course map at above link. \nThis event is guaranteed to get your holiday season off on the right foot! Join participants from all over the country who have come home for the holiday. It’s a great way to celebrate the day\, plus burn off a few calories to make room for those you are about to consume. \nParticipants have choice of registering for the competitive two mile run/ ruck or the non-competitive two mile walk. Run/ruck registrants receive official race shirt and are eligible for awards. Non-competitive walk registrants will not receive shirt or be eligible for awards. \nFor runners\, awards will be given for the top three overall male and female finishers. The top three male and females in 5 year age groups beginning with 9 and under will receive a certificate\, suitable for framing. Ruck awards will be for top 3 females and males provided by All Vets. RUCKERS – Pack your ruck with non perishable food items which you can leave after the race and they will be donated to HC food pantry. \nRace time is 9:00 AM on Thanksgiving Day. Packet pick-up will be held Wednesday\, November 26 from Noon-6:00 p.m. at the YMCA and from 7-8:30 AM on Race Day at the Smith River Sports Complex. \n· ONLINE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MIDNIGHT NOV 24\, 2025\n· PAPER REGISTRATION FORMS MAY BE DOWNLOADED AND COMPLETED FORMS PRESENTED TO YMCA FRONT DESK BY 6 PM ON NOVEMBER 24\, 2025. \n· COMPLETED PAPER FORMS MAY ALSO BE SUBMITTED AT PACKET PICKUP ON NOVEMBER 26 AND AT THE RACE SITE FROM 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM ON THANKSGIVING MORNING.

SUMMARY:Holiday Run Festival
DESCRIPTION:Miles in Martinsville in partnership with the Martinsville Speedway presents the 2025 Holiday Run Festival.  \nThis December 6 event will be run in conjunction with the annual Martinsville Speedway Toy drive.  The Holiday Run Festival will feature a 5Krun/walk/ ruck and a 10K run/ ruck an hour later\, allowing participants to do both the 5K and 10K if they so desire.  Both races start and finish on the iconic Martinsville Speedway.     \nThe  5K run/walk or ruck  will start at 9:00 AM.  This race will include serious competitors of all ages and will include the participation of a significant number of youngsters along with their coaches and mentors. \nThe 5K Toy Walk  will be open to those who just want to walk the course and enjoy the ambience of the Speedway venue.  Walkers will not be eligible for awards or race shirts and will not receive a race bib.  \nThe 10K run or ruck will start an hour later at 10:00 AM.  The 10K is a great steppingstone for those runners who are considering stepping up to a half marathon or full marathon.  \nLooking for more miles?  Check out our 15K DOUBLE CHALLENGE.  Register for both races under the category: 15K Double Challenge.  Run/ ruck both the 5K and the 10K at scheduled times.  Both race times will be added together for the 15K results. \nRUCKERS\, the minimum weight will be 15# and we ask that you fill your ruck with new\, unwrapped toys for the Martinsville Speedway Toy Drive.  Awards will be given to top 3 males and females in both the 5K and 10K. \nAll runners/ ruckers will receive the official tech fabric short sleeve race shirt if registered by November 20.  Those registering after Nov 20 will receive shirts subject to available supply. \n15K double challenge participants will also receive a special finisher medal. \nParticipants will compete for Overall & Age Group awards in all three race categories. Note: 15K registrants may earn awards in each the 5K and 10K as well as the 15K.   \nALL\, PLEASE BRING A NEW UNWRAPPED TOY FOR THE MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY TOY DRIVE.
