DESCRIPTION:Smith River Trout Unlimited will be offering free fly tying classes at Philpott Lake. Classes will be held at the Philpott Lake Visitor Center located at 1058 Philpott Dam Rd.\, Bassett\, Virginia. Each class will run 6:00-8:00 PM on the following dates: (June 19\, July 17\, August\, 21\, September 18\, and October 16). Please call 276-629-2703 to register for upcoming classes. Earlier classes will start at a beginner level and will gradually intensify with each session.

DESCRIPTION:Genealogy Classes \nA series of four classes on genealogical research will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Bassett Historical Center on the first four Tuesdays in September (2nd\, 9th\, 16th\, 23rd). There is absolutely no charge for these classes. When you sign up for the first class\, you will automatically be signed up for the other three classes. The classes are limited to 12 people\, so please call the Bassett Historical Center at 276-629-9191 to reserve your spot!
